Twenty-nine years of project management and post harvest seafood industry experience in an extensive variety of fisheries and aquaculture enterprises in a number of Asian and Pacific countries.

 

Recent experience includes:

  • 15 Approved Arrangements for export prawn vessels
  • 12 Approved Arrangements for export lobster vessels
  • 10 Approved Arrangement for a shore based export establishments
  • Completed a survey on behalf of Department of Environment and Heritage to determine how restructuring or exit packages should be applied to factories impacted by the Representative Area Program.
  • Completed a feasibility study to establish a lobster processing facility to supply the EU market in Liberia (West Africa).
  • Completed a feasibility study for a reef fish farm in Indonesia for a private investor.
  • Co-facilitator for Queensland and West Australian Seafood Emergency Response Plan workshops.
  • Product development and marketing plan for value added tuna products.
  • Prepared a market report on the potential for Australian Farmed Prawns in Europe.
  • Conducted a marketing tour of Europe and represented a large Tuna company at the Brussels Seafood Show (May 2003)
  • Designed a silver perch processing plant for a large central Queensland silver perch farm.
  • Conducted a comprehensive feasibility study for the construction of a large prawn farm on Badu Island (Torres Strait).
  • Principal Investigator – Australian prawn industry quality standard, FRDC project 1999/351.
